Why do ants have two stomachs?

n ants, one stomach is for digesting food, just as with other animals. They have a second stomach that is used to carry food back to the nest to be shared with other ants. Only about 10% of the ants in a colony forage for food, and they have to bring back enough to feed the rest of the colony. Sometimes a forager will pick up a bit of food and carry it back, but often they eat it instead. The food goes to their second stomach, where is it partially digested, to be passed along to larvae and other ants in the colony.

one is for digesting and the other is to gather all of it and save it for the collony

Because they are like cows who have four stomachs, to get the nutrition from their food.
