Now you can see the rest of the creature. It is a wading bird called a Willet. In its beak is a small creature called a Mole Crab, which has a very interesting way of collecting food. How does the Mole Crab find its food?

Most crabs use their pincers to collect food and use their antenna as sensory organs, Mole Crabs have no pincers, and use their antennae to filter plankton out of the water and then to move the food to their mouth. They are commonly used as fish bait, and sometimes made into a broth for chowder. Some species are bioluminescent, and will glow faintly if disturbed.
