Salt and Pepper Challenge

In this week's video, we mixed salt and pepper together and then used static electricity to separate them. There are at least five other ways that you could separate the salt and pepper. How many can you think of? If you can think of at least one other way, send your answer to: rob@thehappyscientist.com

On June 24th, I will post a list of all the different separation methods. I will also pick a random winner from all entries and award a prize, so put on your thinking cap and see how many ways you can think of.

This contest ended at midnight on June 23, 2009. The winner was Tony M. He chose the quartz crystals as his prize. The rest of the prizes will roll over into the next contest.

.

Contest rules:

Only one entry per email address. You do not have to be a member to enter. For the contest, entries must be received by midnight on June 23rd, Eastern Daylight time. Winner will be chosen randomly, not based on the number of ways to separate the salt and pepper.

Prizes!

You will find the prizes for this contest on the Prize Page.
