Can you really change the speed of light? Of course you can!

hello
hi this is temetria from avon park middle school i am in 7th grade and i think that your website is awesome!!!but i hope to see you again at avon park middle school because i think that the things you do helps me learn about science more and i hate science but when people do experiments about science i start to really like it.
cool
Do you have any good science fair projects that could be good for a person in the 7th grade

My first suggestion is to look at things that you enjoy. Sports, games, collections, cooking, and many other things can easily be turned into great science fair projects. The advantage is that if it is something you enjoy, you already know quite a bit about it.
You can also search through the experiments on this site, as many of them can be turned into science fair projects.
ha! so awesome!
ha! that is so awesome i just finished a science chapter on that. it was so cool!
The speed of light
I never knew that is how glasses work. But what about contacts like my mom wears? They are so small, how do they slow down the speed of light?

P.S. you're awesome and your videos are cool.
RE: The Speed of Light
Hi J.T.
Great question. Contact lenses can be thinner, because they don't have to do all of the work. Because they are touching your eye, the contact lens plus the cornea and lens of your eye act together to focus the image. Just a slight difference in the shape of that combination can make quite a bit of change in how things focus.
