Do you really believe in
Do you really believe in millions of years? The earth is really only about 6 thousand years old! Or young.
Very good question. While
Very good question. While some religions believe that the Earth is only about six thousand years old, other religions believe it is much older. I respect all religious beliefs, but since this is a science site, I try to base my information on evidence I have seen with my own eyes, as well as information that is currently accepted by the majority of the world's scientists.
Based on many years of studying geology, and examining rocks and fossils from many parts of the world, the evidence I have seen indicates that the Earth is very, very old. As a scientist, I have to keep an open mind, and would gladly change my views if I found physical evidence that supported a different age for the Earth.
Erosion
Very good. Sometimes it is hard for kids undertand what I am trying to teach, but this demonstrates what erosion is and what causes it. Thanks!
