Rainbow Quartz

I have a mineral that is called rainbow quartz, but it has a metallic luster like pyrite but also has the six sided shape like quartz.

It is probably quartz that

It is probably quartz that has been coated with another substance, probably a titanium compound. That produces a bright, metallic coating that has bright colors.
