What other materials are birefringent? Sprinkler rainbows? Rainbows? Crystals?

Quite a few materials are birefringent, including many crystalline substances, a variety of plastics, and some oils. The best way to explore this is to grab some polarized sunglasses and start testing. I always have the most fun when I try things myself.
