I found this honeybee floating in a puddle. (Yes, I rescued her.) She was flapping her wings, but was unable to take off. Looking at this photo, was she moving forwards, backwards, or pretty much sitting still?

If you look closely, the rings are closer together in front of the bee, and farther apart behind it. That indicates that it is moving forward. I like this photo because it is a great illustration of how the Doppler Effect works with sound.
