What is special about this marvelous creature?
Answer:
This is an Eastern Glass Lizard (Ophisaurus ventralis), also known as a legless lizard. OK, so if it does not have legs, why is it not a snake? Well, it has ears and eyelids, where snakes do not. It also has a lizard skull, not the delicate, open skull and flexible jaws of a snake.
