What should you do if this fish's teeth have an underbite?
Answer:
Probably the best thing to do would be get out of the water. This is a Pacu, a plant eating fish from South America. When you look at its teeth, they meet perfectly, making it easy for the fish to eat leaves and stems of water plants.
On the other hand, its close relative, the Piranha has a natural underbite, and a very different diet. When they are small, they look very similar, but a close look at the mouth (or the bite marks in your leg) can make identification easier.
