When you see a double rainbow, the top one will be dimmer, and its colors reversed. When sunlight passes through a raindrop, and hits the other side, some of the light passes through, and some is reflected back. When the reflected light gets back to the front side of the drop, part of it goes through to produce the lower, primary rainbow, and part is reflected again, producing a secondary rainbow with reversed colors.
