These tiny insects, sometimes called Sweat Bees, are very important. Why?
Answer:
These bees are excellent pollinators, pollinating a much wider variety of plants that most other insects. Besides visiting a wider range of flowers, they are also very efficient, zipping from flower to flower much faster than honey bees. They are especially important for pollenating fruit trees, water melons, grasses, and many wild flowers.
