What is special about this creature's lungs?
Answer:
This is a Northern River Otter. Otters have larger lungs than other mammals their size that live on land. This lets them absorb extra oxygen for long dives. Their right lung has four lobes, and is much larger than their left lung, which only has two lobes. The asymmetric arrangement of lungs may let them have larger lungs without having a significantly larger body.
