This plant is a Gazania, a member of the Aster family. They have composite flowers, which means that what appears to be a single flower is actually a cluster of flowers. Each of the large, colorful petals is a separate flower known as a ray flower. The center is made up of many small disk flowers, each with five small petals. That means that there are a LOT of petals in the photograph.
