This little bird is a common visitor to our garden. Next spring, I am hoping to find some of their nests, because they are very special. What is interesting about their nests?
Answer:
This is a Rock Wren. They live in the rocks along the canyon walls. When they build a nest in the rocks, both the male and the female collect pebbles and place them to make a path that leads to the nest. Scientists are not sure about the function of this behavior.
