This is a Western Kingbird. Its scientific name is Tyrannus verticalis, which might make you think of Tyrannosaurus. Both names mean "tyrant", and while we don't know whether Tyrannosaurus was aggressive, Kingbirds are definitely tyrants for their territory. They will drive away other Kingbirds, songbirds, and even hawks.
