I want to thank everyone for the marvelous feedback on the new site. You have given me enough projects to keep me busy for a very long time, but I will be rolling out the changes as quickly as I can.

• Notification Newsletters

  Many of you have been asking for special notifications of new content, etc. I am in the process of setting up specialized newsletters, to give you the information you want, without filling your email inbox with information you don't. These are the first two:

  1. Florida Teachers

     Many of my District and School level subscriptions are in Florida. This email list will give you direct notification of new videos, experiments, etc., each marked with the Next Generation Sunshine State Standards that it supports.

  2. Learnalong Updates

     if you are following the new Learnalong experimental curriculum, this list will notify you every time I post a new activity or add a new feature. It is a great way to keep track of the latest posts and features.

  I will be adding other notification lists as requested. If you would like a list for your state, or for special content, please let me know.

• Halloween Science

  With Halloween just around the corner, it is time to learn about pumpkins, skeletons, and other science-related aspects of this holiday.

• Learnalong: Minerals

  I have organized the Minerals Study Unit into the Learnalong format, and will be tweaking and adapting it. The Rocks unit will be up very soon too.

• Turning Comments Back On

  I had originally turned off comments for most of the site, because they were not used much. At your request, I am turning them back on. It may take a few days for me to change all of the pages.

• Quests

  Not a quiz. Not a test. A quest gives you a simple way to make sure that you understand the science. Each is randomly generated, so you will get a different Quest each time you visit the page.
