This is a Soft-shelled Turtle. There are several things about this turtle that are unusual, but probably the most special fact is that this is a reptile that has no scales. Most other turtles have scutes, which are modified scales on their shells, and many turtles have scales on their legs and tails, but this turtle has no scales at all.
