I photographed this large lizard in Ft. Lauderdale. Where is its native land?

Answer:

This is a Cuban Knight Anole, and as its name says, it is native to Cuba. They have been introduced to Florida as escaped pets, and are quickly dominating their habitat in South Florida. Someone asked how long a species is considered to be "invasive." Starlings were introduced in 1890, and they are still considered an invasive species. Basically, as long as an introduced species is causing problems, it is considered invasive.
