First, the lack of a decimal point is the result of a bad camera angle, not something wrong with the scale. What is wrong is that the scale is measuring in kilograms. Kilograms are a measure of mass, not weight. This scale is measuring how much the weight of the mineral specimen is compressing a spring. Weight is measured in either pounds or newtons, depending on what system of measurement you are using. Mass is measured in either kilograms or slugs.

If you were using a balance scale, measuring in kilograms would be correct. Balance scales compare the mass of one substance with the mass of another. This scale would show that the mineral has the same mass of 0.165 kilograms on the Moon, Mars, Venus, etc.
